Pecan Nuts

Pecan nuts are a good source of calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which help lower blood pressure. A source of healthy monounsaturated fats, pecan nuts help fight heart disease and cancer as well as boost your immune system. Following the suggested amount of 30g (1oz) of nuts per day, you should be eating about 15 pecan halves to obtain the maximum nutritional benefit.

Serving Suggestions:
Try adding a serving size of pecans in your, salad, breakfast fruit bowl or oatmeal for extra crunch, taste and nutrients. So Natural locally sourced pecans also work well in a trail mix or chopped up for use in baked goods like muffins, carrot cake or banana bread.

Storage:
Keep your pecans in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer. Shelled pecans can last for about nine months in the refrigerator and for up to two years in the freezer.
